Ronald E. Schults

Principal + Chairman

RONALD E. SCHULTS, PE is recognized as one of the most notable waterfront and marina development experts in the world, and often speaks on the topic at national and international conferences. His combined passion for community development, coastal engineering, and sailing inspired him to focus on projects that help preserve our waterways and sustain the economic growth and vitality of waterfront communities across the United States and around the world. Both his experience and relationships have facilitated successful results on highly complicated and controversial projects, nationally and internationally. His seasoned real world knowledge of civil, construction, and marine engineering provides him a unique understanding of projects on all levels. He has personally developed and financed multiple successful waterfront developments valued in excess of $150 million, and applies this real world experience on behalf of clients and community partners who are working to create responsible waterfront development projects. This knowledge, coupled with his passion to tackle any project challenge, has enabled Ron to be instrumental in the growth of Edgewater Resources to the level it is today.

GREGORY WEYKAMP, ASLA, LEED AP, BD+C has more than twenty-five years of experience in the planning and design of the public realm, with an emphasis on implementation of sustainable built landscapes and urban waterfront environments. He is a CLARB Certified landscape architect, and his project experience spans waterfront parks, marinas, master planned communities, urban revitalization, streetscapes, parks, and recreation facilities. With extensive experience leading and facilitating the public community outreach process, and years of working with municipal agencies in the design of the public realm, his sensitivity to issues of social equity keep communities engaged and projects on track. Greg was Principal of the Chicago office of EDAW AECOM, one of the most prominent planning and landscape architecture firms in the world. He has worked on internationally significant projects, including Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, the Olympic Village for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Gateway and 31st Street Harbors in Chicago, and the redevelopment of Denver’s Stapleton Airport into an award-winning urban infill residential community incorporating traditional neighborhood design strategies.
