Holland Civic Center

The City of Holland has engaged the team of architects, engineers, planners, and landscape architects at Edgewater Resources to facilitate the redevelopment of the Holland Civic Center. Additional team members include Holland-based Livable Community By Design and GMB Architects and Engineers, along with Walker Parking Consultants and Project for Public Spaces. The project includes design and redevelopment of the Civic Center Building and the area bounded by 7th, 9th, Pine, and Maple Streets.

This project aims to renovate the 60-year old Civic Center, Holland’s historic center of recreational and cultural activity, while strengthening the physical connection of downtown Holland to the Lake Macatawa waterfront. Through a careful balance of recreation, cultural programming, and Farmer’s Market activity, the site will serve as a catalyst for the activation of the west end of 8th Street. The renovations were completed in the summer of 2018.
