Northwest Point Resort

While at EDSA, Michael Meyers worked as both project manager and designer on the master planning effort at North West Point a mixed used marina resort development in Turks and Caicos.  The goal of the project was assist the client with developing the highest and best use for the property, assess the value, sales potential and order of magnitude costs.  Heading up the design team on behalf of EDSA, Mr. Meyers worked in conjunction with Cutcher and Associates  (coastal and marina engineers) and Transerve (development managers)  to provide a permitable land use plan that met the development and financial goals of the client while preserving the natural beauty of the land and tackling the challenge of developing low lying wetlands.

As part of the development of the phasing plan, Mr. Meyers conducted an on-site workshop, completed an inventory analysis, completed density and product studies and developed a land use plan.  Concept enlargements were completed using traditional hand graphics, Photoshop, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools. The final plan provided a solution to re-establish wetland flows, open to ocean at southwest and aid subsurface flows to northeast creating a marina basin, channels for development amenities, generate fill to raise grades for development pads and create wetlands and views.
